Kveldúlfur is a hand-knitted Icelandic pullover in black, made from an old Ístex pattern that we decided to knit again. It is knitted in Iceland from 2-ply Plötulopi: two strands of unspun Icelandic wool worked together.
The main colour is Black (0059). The yoke carries diamond shapes in White (0001) and Oatmeal Heather (1030); the body, sleeves, cuffs and hem are plain.
It is cut closer than our 3-ply sweaters, so check the chest measurement in the size table. Icelandic wool can feel rough on bare skin; wear it over a shirt.
Care: wash it by hand in lukewarm water with wool soap, without soaking, and dry it flat.

- Hand Washing: Icelandic wool sweaters should be hand-washed in lukewarm water using a mild detergent that's suitable for wool; Lopasápa
- Avoid Agitation: Gently swish the sweater in the water without rubbing or twisting it, as wool is susceptible to damage when wet.
- Rinsing: Thoroughly rinse the sweater in lukewarm water until all soap residue is removed.
- Drying: Press out excess water without wringing, and lay the sweater flat on a towel to air dry. Avoid hanging or exposing it to direct heat or sunlight.
- Storage: Store the wool sweater in a dry and cool place, preferably folded. Avoid using plastic bags, as they can trap moisture and cause damage. More info

- A name from Egil's SagaKveldúlfur means evening wolf. In the saga it is the nickname of Úlfur, grandfather of the poet Egill Skallagrímsson, who grew sullen every evening and was said to change shape.
