Spa of Iceland is our own skincare brand. We make it here in Iceland, sell it in our shop in Hafnarfjörður, and ship it from the same shelves to customers around the world. Everything in the range is vegan and cruelty-free, and most of it carries the same quiet scent of Icelandic moss and thyme — present, never overpowering.
What is Spa of Iceland skincare made from?
The recurring ingredients are Icelandic sea salt, harvested with geothermal energy and naturally rich in magnesium and trace minerals, and sea buckthorn, a lipid-rich berry that helps skin hold on to moisture. Around those we use shea butter, olive oil, aloe vera and sweet almond oil, depending on the product. Formulas are up to 95% natural origin. Our Foot Cream won silver for Best Vegan Skin Care at the Global Green Beauty Awards in 2022, and the Hand & Foot Cream pairing took a Bella Beauty Award in 2023.
If you're choosing a first product, start with the full-size 300 ml pumps — the hand cream, shampoo and body cream are the ones customers reorder. The Body Lotion & Shower Gel set is the one most often bought as a gift. The 50 ml tubes are the travel sizes of the same creams.
Because we make it ourselves, it is always in stock. Orders to the United States have duties settled at checkout, so there is nothing to pay when the parcel arrives, and shipping is free on orders over $149.
