Every one is a genuine lopapeysa — the traditional Icelandic yoke sweater — knitted from real Icelandic sheep's wool, with the characteristic patterned yoke. The range covers pullovers for a clean, simple look and cardigans in button-up, zippered and hooded styles.
Why is the lopapeysa so warm?
Icelandic sheep grow a dual fleece: a water-resistant outer layer and a soft, insulating undercoat. Lopi yarn keeps both fibers, so the sweater is warm, light and breathable at the same time — made for Icelandic weather, and more than a match for winters elsewhere.
