After visiting the lovely store in person and purchasing authentic jumpers for myself and adult children back in Australia I found I had purchased a size too small for my son. While nothing beats being there in person (and I would have loved the excuse to go back), the online store was almost as good, with great options and the delivery was super fast and packaged very well. I order a tailored sweater and the fit is perfect. Took about 5 weeks to arrive. Great quality and workmanship is outstanding! Note the way the design on the cuffs is at exactly the same height as the design on the bottom of the body of the sweater. I see that the price has gone up since I ordered this, but I still would recommend a sweater from the Icelandic Store.

Hi. I have been wanting a genuine icelandic sweater for a long time, and was so glad to find your site. My expectations were flexible since buying on line with sizes, but once I received the sweater OMG, it is so comfortable and warm and fits perfectly. It was also received in a matter of days, so quick that my wife couldn't believe me that it came direct from Iceland. We hope to visit when the COVID thing goes away, or at least for the most part. The sweater is exactly what I wanted. It's warm and cozy, whether I'm wearing it outdoors or inside. I was concerned about overheating while wearing a wool sweater as I suffer from a condition known as Hyperhidrosis, which is a nicer way of saying that I overheat and sweat a lot. I'm able to wear the sweater inside my heated house without any discomfort. I don't overheat at all, which is wonderfully strange for me. I also was able to walk outside in -14 C (7 F) with nothing more than the sweater and a long sleeve cotton shirt. It felt cozy warm, even in cold weather. Although, due to the course knit, when the wind blows, it goes straight through. Nothing much I can do about that. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and I'm glad I went with a sweater made in Iceland, supporting the local knitters, and not some cheaper made version from China. I wish you continued success and thank you for staying traditional, well worth the money.
