Same-day dispatch
Order before 14:00 Iceland time (UTC) on a weekday and your parcel leaves our warehouse the same day. That is the promise behind the little asterisk you saw on the product page — here is exactly what it means.
How it works
- Monday to Friday, before 14:00 UTC: we pack your order and hand it to DHL Express the same day. For our American customers that is 9 or 10 in the morning New York time, depending on daylight saving; for the UK it is 14:00 or 15:00.
- After 14:00, or on a Saturday, Sunday or Icelandic public holiday: your order goes out on the next working day.
- You receive a tracking number by email the moment DHL scans the parcel in.
If something is out of stock
Now and then an item sells out just as your order comes in. If that happens we email you straight away, and we dispatch your order as soon as the item is back in stock. You will always hear from us — nobody waits in the dark.
Dispatch is not the same as delivery
Same-day dispatch is about the day your parcel leaves Iceland. How long it then takes to reach you depends on DHL and on customs in your country — usually a few days, sometimes longer in busy periods. Typical transit times, duties and returns are on our Shipping, duties & returns page.
Why we can promise this
We are a small family business, and every order is packed by us, here in Iceland, from our own shelves. There is no middleman and no far-away fulfilment centre — the people who answer your emails are the same people who pack your parcel. That is how an order placed on a Tuesday morning can be in the air by Tuesday evening.
