The hand-knitted Icelandic sweaters our female customers come back for — each one a genuine lopapeysa, the traditional yoke sweater, hand-knitted from Icelandic sheep's wool. You'll find pullovers for everyday simplicity and cardigans in button-up, zippered and hooded styles, all carrying the characteristic patterning on the yoke and hemline.

What makes these sweaters best sellers?

Mostly the wool. Icelandic fleece combines a water-resistant outer fiber with a soft insulating undercoat, and lopi yarn keeps both — so the sweater is warm without bulk, breathable, and at home over jeans, skirts or hiking trousers. And because each one is knitted by hand, no two are exactly alike.
