Jacquard-woven wool blankets from Álafoss, working Icelandic wool since 1896. The patterns are traditional and geometric — Icelandic horses, birds (Fuglar), braided Flétta designs and the Frostrose snowflake — woven from pure Icelandic sheep's wool, so they are light, warm, thick and naturally durable.
What makes a jacquard blanket different?
Jacquard weaving builds the pattern into the fabric itself rather than printing it on, so the design is part of the blanket's structure. Combined with Icelandic wool's dual-fiber fleece — water-resistant outer coat, soft insulating undercoat — the result is a throw that's decorative and genuinely warm: home décor you actually use.
You'll find all our throws in the Icelandic wool blankets collection. We're a small family-run shop in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, family-run since 2013 — honest wool, honestly described. Just ask us if you're unsure.
