Icelandic Blanket - Grey Jaquard Horse #0103

Hestar means “horses” in Icelandic, and this blanket is exactly that: five Icelandic horses in motion across a grey ground, pattern no. 0103 by Pétur Behrens. The pattern is woven in jacquard, so the back is its mirror image — white with grey horses — and you can use whichever side suits the room.

Icelandic wool is light and properly warm at the same time. The fleece has fine, soft inner fibres that hold the heat and long, glossy outer fibres that shed damp, so this is a blanket you reach for on cold evenings, over the sofa or across the bed.
