“I love the Summer Flower blanket folded at the end of our winter bed.”

- Designed in Iceland by Védís Jónsdóttir
- Two-sided: yellow or cream
Blóm is Icelandic for flower, and this blanket is covered in them: large stylised flowers with curling stems, cream on a warm yellow. We call it Summer Flower. It is Ístex blanket no. 7993-2061, designed in Iceland by Védís Jónsdóttir.
The blanket is two-sided. Turn it over and the colours swap — yellow flowers on cream — so you can choose the brighter or the calmer side for the room. The edges are finished with a cream blanket stitch all round, with no fringe.
130 × 180 cm (about 51 × 71 in), in Icelandic wool. Air it out between uses; when it needs cleaning, the Ístex label says dry clean only.

- Avoid Wringing or Twisting: Post-wash, don't wring or twist the blanket to remove water as it can deform its shape.
- Air Dry Properly: Lay the blanket flat on a clean surface to air dry, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Storage Tips: Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in a breathable cotton bag for protection against dust and moths. Avoid plastic containers or bags.

The blanket Icelanders reach for
Light on the lap and properly warm, because Icelandic wool has two layers: long outer fibres that shrug off damp, soft inner fibres that hold the heat. Air it out rather than wash it, and it lasts for years.
Why you'll love it
