Round milk-chocolate balls with a chewy, liquorice-flavoured toffee centre — lakkrískúlur með mjólkursúkkulaði. Creamy chocolate first, then the toffee slows things down, then a mild liquorice finish. One of the softest ways into Icelandic liquorice: the chocolate does the introductions.

Bingó is made by Góa in Garðabær, the confectioner that began in 1968 with a single caramel machine and is now Iceland's second-largest sweet maker. There is a dark-chocolate Bingó too; this is the milk one.

Is this the milk or the dark Bingó?

The milk one. Góa also makes a dark-chocolate Bingó, which we sell separately; this is the gentler and creamier of the two.

Is the liquorice strong?

No. It is the last thing you taste, after the chocolate and the toffee, and it stays mild.

What is in the middle?

A chewy liquorice-flavoured toffee. That fits the maker: Góa started in 1968 with one caramel machine.

Does chocolate ship well in summer?

Chocolate can soften or melt on the way in warm months. We do not refund melted chocolate unless Shipping protection was added in the cart (terms of service, sections 9 and 10). A bag that arrives soft firms up again after an hour in the fridge.
