Bingó lakkrískúlur — “Bingo liquorice balls” — are made by Góa in Hafnarfjörður, a couple of streets from our warehouse. Some Icelanders will tell you they are the best black liquorice sweet in the country; we won't argue.

Is the liquorice strong?

Medium. It is a proper black liquorice toffee, sweet with a little salt — not a salmiak salt bomb, but more liquorice than Snowballs or Þristur.

Are they hard or chewy?
