How it is knitted
Knitted from the top down, back and forth. It starts with the back neck edge: a 10-stitch cable-and-lace band from chart 1, knitted as a strip. Stitches are picked up along it for the body, and the cape grows outwards in lace sections from chart 2, separated by markers, with the chart 1 band continuing up both front edges. Two lengths are given, short and long. Rinse and block to measurements.
Design: Brooke Nico — pattern from Ístex 25 years (no. 7), Ístex.
