How it is knitted
Body and sleeves start with a few rounds of stocking stitch in a contrast colour that roll up, then rib, and are knitted in the round up to the underarms — the body with two purled stitches at centre front for a steek and decreases at the sides. They are joined and the yoke is knitted in the round from a chart. The front is machine-stitched, cut open and a zipper is sewn in by hand; the neckband folds to the inside over the top of the zipper.
