Knitting needles & notions
3.5 mm (US 4) and 4.5 mm (US 7) circulars 40 & 60 cm; 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm DPNs; zipper.
Gauge
18 sts and 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in St st using 4.5 mm needles. Check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary.
Construction
Cardigan: body and sleeves are worked in the round to the underarms, then joined for a seamless yoke; a purl‑stitch steek is secured and cut for the front zipper. Hat: worked in the round from the brim with charted decreases to the crown.
