What's in the kit
Litlu manneskjurnar — the little people: a ring of small figures around the yoke. Védís Jónsdóttir’s children’s cardigan from Ístex’s Lopi 36 is knitted with two strands of Plötulopi held together throughout — in this colourway, arctic blue heather with clover green for a blue-green main colour, and the little people in white with light ash. The pattern’s faded denim (1053) is no longer made; arctic blue heather (1431) takes its place in the blend.

Gauge

5 small buttons, and a 4.5 mm crochet hook for the front bands. The steek is secured with a sewing machine.
How it is knitted
Knitted with two strands of Plötulopi together throughout. The body starts with a garter-stitch edge knitted back and forth, is then joined in the round with two purled stitches at centre front for a steek, and is decreased at the sides into a slight A-line; the sleeves are knitted in the round. Body and sleeves are joined and the yoke is knitted in the round from a chart of little figures, with decreases, and finished with a garter-stitch neckline. The steek is machine-sewn and cut, and the front bands are worked in single crochet, with five buttonholes on the right side.
