Questions people ask before they buy

What is the pattern?

Bands of small geometric motifs, diamonds, crosses and zigzags, repeated across the whole blanket in five colours. Kidka calls it a traditional Scandinavian pattern; it is the kind of design you see in old Nordic knitwear rather than a picture of anything.

What is the difference between the two colourways?

Blue & white is cool and quiet: three blues with white and grey. Red, blue & white has a navy and grey ground with white bands and thin lines of red running through, which gives it more warmth against a dark sofa.

Is the back the same?

The same bands, with the colours swapped: where the front has a white motif on blue, the back has blue on white. Kidka describes it as double-sided, and the photo with the corner turned shows both faces.

How big is it?

140 × 200 cm, about 55 × 79 inches. In our photo it covers a single bed from pillow to foot. On a double it lies across the lower half as a throw.

What does Lækur mean?

A brook or small stream. Kidka names its blankets with single Icelandic words: Lundi is the puffin, Fákur a horse, Kort the map, Fáni the flag.
