Which size should I choose?

Lay a cardigan or sweater that already fits you well flat and measure straight across the chest just under the arms, then match that number to the chest width column in the size table. The table gives the width laid flat, so double it for the full chest: size M is 53 cm flat, 106 cm around. We cannot alter a cardigan, so pick the nearest size.

Buttons. Fjörgyn closes with metal buttons from the collar to the hem on white button bands, so you can wear it open over a shirt or buttoned to the top on a cold day.

How does it feel to wear?

Thick, dense and warm, with the dry, springy feel of Icelandic wool. A lopapeysa cardigan is worn over a shirt or a long-sleeved top, the way Icelanders wear theirs, and because it opens at the front it is easy to slip off when you come indoors.

By hand, in lukewarm water, with a mild wool soap such as Lopisápa. Swish it gently without rubbing or twisting, rinse in lukewarm water, press the water out without wringing, and lay it flat on a towel to dry, away from heat and sun. Store it folded in a cool, dry place, not in a plastic bag.

Yes. An unworn cardigan in its original condition can be exchanged for another size under our return policy, linked at the foot of every page. Return postage is yours to pay unless the cardigan is faulty or the mistake is ours.
