Fugl — your questions, answered

Which size should I knit?
There are six sizes, XS to XXL, with a chest of 95, 99, 103, 108, 112 and 117 cm all round (37½–46″). The body is 38–43 cm long to the underarm and the sleeves 48–53 cm.
Do I have to cut my knitting?
Yes, up the front. The round begins and ends with a purl stitch at the centre front. You sew twice by machine with small straight stitches into each purl stitch, then cut between the rows of stitching.
What zipper do I need?
The pattern gives a 60, 65 or 70 cm zipper, depending on size. It is sewn in by hand with matching thread — first from the right side where the edge folds, then the zipper edge is slip-stitched from the wrong side. The zipper is not in the kit.
How is the collar made?
In k1, p1 rib worked back and forth — 2 rows light ash, 3 rows dark grey, 2 rows black — then a purl row from the right side and 7 rows of stocking stitch in black. It is folded in half to the inside and slip-stitched in place over the zipper end.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the XXL amounts: 6 balls of 0058 dark grey heather, 2 of 0005 black heather, and one each of 0051 white and 0054 light ash heather. Sizes XS to M use 5 balls of dark grey, so they have one ball over.
What does the kit with needles include?
ADDI needles in the sizes the pattern names: 6 mm (US 10) circular needles in 40 and 80 cm, a 4.5 mm (US 7) 40 cm circular needle, and 4.5 mm and 6 mm double-pointed needles.
