Eldgos means eruption, and the wrapper shows one: lava fountains against a sky of smoke. Inside is plain Freyja milk chocolate, at least 36% cocoa solids, made with whole milk powder and vanillin. No chilli, no filling.

Freyja was founded in Reykjavík in 1918, a year that, by its own history, brought hard frost, the Katla eruption, Spanish flu and Icelandic sovereignty. Today it makes this 100 g bar in Kópavogur.
