Which size should I knit?
Choose by the finished chest measurement all round: 2XS 83, XS 87, S 94, M 100, L 104, XL 108, 2XL 116, 3XL 124 and 4XL 132 cm. Compare it with a sweater that fits you the way you like.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds 4 plates of winter blue heather and 1 plate of ash heather. The pattern uses 2 plates of the main colour for 2XS, 3 for XS to XL and 4 for 2XL to 4XL, and 1 plate of the yoke colour in every size — so the smaller sizes have winter blue to spare.
What does the kit with needles contain?
Addi needles: 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles in 40 and 80 cm, 3 mm (US 2½) circular needles in 40 and 80 cm, and 4.5 mm (US 7) double-pointed needles. The pattern itself names 4 mm for the body and sleeves, or whichever size gives you 19 stitches to 10 cm, so knit a swatch first.
How are the short rows worked?
The pattern uses German short rows, twice: once after the yoke chart and again at the top of the body after dividing for the sleeves. You knit back and forth across the back, turning a few stitches earlier each time, then close the gaps on the next round.
Do I need anything else?
Four stitch markers and a tapestry needle. The pattern suggests markers in two colours, one to mark the start of the round. They are not in the kit.
