Aurora - Icelandic handmade chocolate

Dark chocolate (58%) blended with caramel chocolate, topped by hand with raspberry-dusted dates, dried raspberry and a grind of black pepper. It's the most surprising bar of the four: bittersweet chocolate and caramel, then a bright raspberry sourness, then a slow tickle of pepper, with a hint of liquorice from the date mix. Sweet, sharp and warm, in that order.

Aurora is one of four bars in Anna Marta's Icelandic Nature Chocolate Collection. From around September the Icelandic nights get dark enough for the northern lights, and the wrapper photograph is exactly that — keep it, frame it, eat the chocolate.
