Icelandic Blanket - Winter Sky #1072

Winter Sky takes its colours from a clear, cold Icelandic winter sky: pale pink, pale aqua, pale yellow and white, in a ray pattern. Pattern no. 1072, designed by Védís Jónsdóttir for the Álafoss landscape series, in 100% Icelandic wool.

Icelandic wool is light and properly warm at the same time, so this is a throw you actually reach for: over the sofa, at the foot of the bed, around your shoulders on a cold evening. Combed after weaving to soften it, and finished with a fringe.

130 × 200 cm including the fringe (about 52 × 79 in). Air it out between uses — it rarely needs washing. A favourite gift for weddings and housewarmings.
