Vindur — Knitting pattern
Vindur (“Wind”) is a sister to Vestur and brings weather‑ready warmth to a classic Icelandic cardigan. Knit in the round with a secure steek and finished with seven buttons, it’s both traditional and modern in wear.

Circular 4.5 & 6 mm (40 & 80 cm); DPN 4.5 & 6 mm; crochet hook 4.5 mm; 7 buttons.
Gauge
13 sts × 18 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette on 6 mm needles.
Construction
Work body and sleeves in the round to the underarms, join for the yoke with charted decreases, then secure and cut the steek. Crochet reinforcement along the cut edge; pick up for bands and neckband.
