Good to know

Tindur — your questions, answered

Why is one colour different from the pattern?
Sunshine yellow (0017), used only for the yellow embroidered flowers, is no longer in the Álafosslopi range. This kit has golden heather (9964) in its place.
How big is it?
The pattern gives 62 cm around and 26–28 cm deep. It is knitted larger and fulled in the washing machine at 60°C; the pattern says it may need two washes to reach the right size and thickness. It covers the whole teapot — there are no openings for the spout or handle.
The text stops at 3 stitches — where does the red tip come from?
From the chart: rows 59–64 are six rounds of red (G) on the last 3 stitches. The text leaves them out, so follow the chart before you break the yarn. The chart has no colour key — its colours follow the order A to G, from the bottom up.
What else do I need?
Fabric for the lining (the pattern uses the cosy as a template), sewing thread and a needle, and a tapestry needle for the embroidery.
What does the kit with needles include?
A 9 mm (US 13) circular needle in 40 cm — the pattern asks for a short one — and 9 mm double-pointed needles, all ADDI.
