How it is knitted
Knitted with one strand of Plötulopi and one of Einband held together. The body is cast on with 210–242 stitches, knitted back and forth in garter stitch for 3 cm, then joined with two purled steek stitches and knitted in the round on 4.5 mm in a textured pattern of slipped stitches and small cables. Two garter stitches mark each side, and the body is decreased there nine times, so it narrows from 105–121 cm at the hem to 88–104 cm at the chest. The sleeves start with 6 cm of garter stitch in the round; then the stitches are doubled and the pattern begins. Body and sleeves are joined and the yoke is shaped with raglan decreases every other round along garter-stitch lines, then finished with 6 cm of garter stitch at the neck. The steek is machine-sewn and cut, and garter-stitch bands are picked up on both fronts, with six buttons from about 40 cm above the hem to the neck.
