T — your questions, answered

Which size should I knit?
Six sizes — 4, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 12 — with a chest of 69 to 92 cm, 25 to 38 cm from hem to underarm and sleeves of 28 to 41 cm. The pattern prints the sizes without a unit; go by the chest measurement.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for size 12: 4 balls of indigo, 3 of light denim and 1 of white. Size 4 uses 2 + 2 + 1; sizes 6 to 11 use 3 + 2 + 1.
Anything to watch for?
The zigzag band repeats over 4 stitches, which doesn’t divide evenly into the body in sizes 4, 8 and 11 (the pattern warns about the sleeves only), so the zigzag won’t meet exactly at the start of the round. And in round 21 of the yoke chart, the “12” among the sizes that skip the round is most likely a misprint for 11. In sizes 11 and 12 the body holds 9 underarm stitches and each sleeve 8, so you graft 9 stitches to 8.
The colour names differ — which balls are which?
Go by the colour numbers. The pattern’s indigo blue is 9959, called Indigo in our shop; its light denim is 0008, Light Denim Heather.
What does the kit with needles include?
6 mm (US 10) circular needles in 40 and 60 cm; a 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needle in 60 cm; 4.5 mm and 6 mm double-pointed needles — ADDI, as named in the pattern. The pattern gives 60–80 cm for the longer needles; the kit has 60 cm.
