Strokkur — after the geyser at Geysir that erupts every few minutes. Ásta Guðrún Jóhannsdóttir’s neck warmer from Ístex’s Lopi 31, knitted in the round in fine Einband: rippling waves of oatmeal heather between blush, grenadine and dark wine.

How it is knitted
Knitted in the round: 108 stitches cast on in oatmeal heather, one knit round, one purl round and three knit rounds, then a 7-round wave pattern of yarn overs and three-together decreases. The colour changes with every repeat in the order oatmeal, blush, oatmeal, grenadine, oatmeal, dark wine and so on, 19 repeats in all; the last round of each colour is purled, which gives a ridge between the waves. One more round in oatmeal and a loose bind-off finish it.
