Of COURSE I love this yarn and pattern! I just want to share that I noticed the pattern sheets felt peculiar… rather powdery. Then I realized my hand where I touched the page was covered with powdery colors. It appears that this copy didn’t receive the fixative component in the copying process. I worry about further smearing as I work with the pattern. Would it be possible to send me another copy of the pattern, either by mail or by the internet pdf? Thank you for your very rapid delivery and the special surprise treat. 💐

Many of our customers knit their first lopapeysa from one of these kits. Choose a one-colour or simple-yoke design to start, and warm up with our free patterns. Stuck mid-project? Write to us — we knit these ourselves.

What exactly is in the box?

The knitting pattern and the genuine Ístex lopi yarn for the design. On most kits you can add needles as an option at no fuss.

Which yarn do the kits use?

Most use Léttlopi — the classic lopapeysa yarn — while some designs call for Álafoss Lopi, Plötulopi or Einband. Each kit page says which.

Do US orders pay customs on delivery?

No — duties and taxes are settled at checkout, so nothing is due when the parcel arrives. No customs bills, no courier fees.
