Description

Snjókorn — Snowfall: snowflakes floating in the air, captivating in the cold light. A light, fine-gauge lopapeysa in Fjallalopi, the softer, thinner Lopi yarn: bay blue with a snowflake yoke in lily white and a tall 2×1 ribbed collar. The body is deliberately short and cropped, the sleeves full length. Body and sleeves are knitted in the round, then joined for the circular yoke. Seven sizes, XS–3XL.

Many of our customers knit their first lopapeysa from one of these kits. Choose a one-colour or simple-yoke design to start, and warm up with our free patterns. Stuck mid-project? Write to us — we knit these ourselves.

What exactly is in the box?

The knitting pattern and the genuine Ístex lopi yarn for the design. On most kits you can add needles as an option at no fuss.

Which yarn do the kits use?

Most use Léttlopi — the classic lopapeysa yarn — while some designs call for Álafoss Lopi, Plötulopi or Einband. Each kit page says which.

Do US orders pay customs on delivery?

No — duties and taxes are settled at checkout, so nothing is due when the parcel arrives. No customs bills, no courier fees.
