Snjókorn (Icelandic for "snowflake") is a modern Icelandic yoke sweater featuring bold, geometric snowflake motifs across the chest. Worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up, it combines classic stranded colorwork with clean construction and a flattering silhouette.

🧵 Yarn

Designed for Ístex Fjallalopi – 100% Icelandic wool (50 g ≈ 150 m)

• Main Colour (A): 3021 Bay Blue – 6 to 9 balls depending on size
• Contrast Colour (B): 3051 Lily White – 1 ball for all sizes

🪡 Needles

• 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles – 40 cm and 80 cm
• 3.0 mm (US 2½) circular needles – 40 cm and 80 cm
• 3.5 mm and 3.0 mm double-pointed needles for sleeves and small circumferences

📏 Gauge

22 stitches × 29 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch using 3.5 mm needles

📝 Construction Notes

• Worked in the round from the lower edge up
• Body and sleeves are knit separately and joined at the yoke
