Size
One size, M/L. The pattern gives no finished measurements; the hat is 38 stitches wide in brioche stitch and knitted to 32 cm before the top. The seam changes sides 10 cm from the cast-on edge, so it stays hidden when the brim is turned up.

8 sts × 11 rows = 10 cm (4″) in brioche stitch on 8 mm needles (the pattern notes: 1 row = work back and forth).

How it is knitted
Knitted flat in brioche stitch on 8 mm and seamed. 38 stitches are cast on very loosely and knitted to 32 cm, then the top is decreased in two right-side rows to 10 stitches and drawn together. The seam is sewn from the right side, except the last 10 cm, which are sewn from the wrong side so the seam doesn’t show when the brim is turned up. The flower is crocheted in four rounds with an 8 mm hook, with chain loops at its centre, and sewn to the side or top after the hat is rinsed.
