Skammdegi — your questions, answered

What is the difference between the blue and green Skammdegi?
Only the colours. Blue is blues blue with light blues blue and white; green is frost grass with black heather and oatmeal. Same pattern, same sizes, same amount of yarn.
Shorter or longer — how do I choose?
The longer version adds 4 cm to both body and sleeves: body to underarm 36–42 cm shorter or 40–46 cm longer, depending on size. The kit has yarn enough for either.
Which size should I knit?
Four sizes — S, M/L, XL/2XL and 3XL — with a chest of 97, 108, 120 and 131 cm all round.
What is Plötulopi?
Unspun Icelandic wool, sold in 100 g plates rather than balls. This pattern works it as 2-ply Plötulopi at 14 stitches to 10 cm on 5.5 mm needles.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for XL/2XL and 3XL: 5 plates of blues blue. Sizes S and M/L use 4.
What does the kit with needles include?
Two 5.5 mm (US 9) circular needles (40 and 80 cm), two 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles (40 and 80 cm), and 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm double-pointed needles — ADDI, the sizes the pattern names.
