Good to know

Örk — your questions, answered

Which size should I knit?
Five sizes — S, M, L, XL and XXL — with a chest of 92 to 116 cm, 41 to 46 cm from hem to underarm and sleeves of 49 to 53 cm.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for XXL: 11 balls of chocolate heather and 2 of light beige. S and M use 9 balls of chocolate heather, L and XL 10; every size uses 2 of light beige.
How does the two-colour border work?
Only one colour is knitted at a time — two rows (one garter ridge) of each — and the stitches that belong to the other colour are slipped, with the yarn kept on the wrong side. The charts show which stitches to slip.
Why two needle sizes?
The slip-stitch border is knitted on 6 mm and the garter-stitch body on 4.5 mm, so both come out at 17 stitches to 10 cm.
What does the kit with needles include?
a 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needle in 60 cm; a 6 mm (US 10) circular needle in 60 cm — ADDI, the sizes the pattern names.
