KETKRÓKUR - CHOCOLATE WITH SMOKED SEA SALT
✓ No surprises on delivery — U.S. duties & taxes settled at checkout
Creamy 40% milk chocolate with flakes of smoked sea salt that turn each square savoury and a little bonfire-ish before the sweetness comes back. Salt and smoke make it Icelandic; the milk chocolate keeps it friendly.
Ketkrókur ("Meat-Hook") is the twelfth Yule Lad, arriving on the night of 23 December. The hungriest and most daring of the brothers, he uses a long hooked pole to fish meat out through chimneys and rafters — above all hangikjöt, the smoked lamb Icelanders eat at Christmas. A smoked chocolate for the smoked-lamb thief. Made in Iceland by Kandís with South American cacao; the salt comes from the Westfjords.
Good to know: 70 g bar · milk chocolate 40% with smoked sea salt · milk chocolate, so contains milk; no full allergen list on our page — always check the wrapper · keep cool; in summer we pack chocolate against the heat.
How people buy it: for the shoe on the windowsill — a bar a night — as a stocking filler, or as an Icelandic story gift for someone new to the Yule Lads.
