How it is knitted
Knitted in pieces back and forth with one strand of Einband and one of Plötulopi together. Back and fronts start with a folded hem — a few rows of stocking stitch and a purled fold line — and are cabled all over from chart 1; the fronts have a 6-stitch border with a facing that folds inside. Armholes and neck are shaped and the shoulders bound off in steps. The sleeves are knitted in the round: a 1×1 rib cuff, then purl-3, knit-1 rib to 26 cm, with two increase rounds after 19 cm; 33–37 stitches are then added and the upper sleeve is cabled from chart 2 to a shaped cap. The collar is picked up around the neck, cabled from chart 2 and folded in half to the inside. The press studs are set on ribbons sewn onto the front borders, and the pieces are sewn together on the right side.
