Will they fit me?

They come in one size cut for a woman's hand, and the knit stretches to follow it. The ribbed cuff holds the glove at the wrist. Varma knits the same glove in a men's size in the same charcoal, for larger hands.

What is the eight-petalled rose?

An eight-pointed star, read as a rose or a frost flower, that Varma counts among its oldest patterns. Here it sits once on the back of each hand, in white on charcoal, with a fine dotted border above and below.

How do they feel?

Soft and light. The body of the glove is a fine wool knit, so it bends with the hand instead of standing stiff, and the rose is knitted in, not stitched on, so there is nothing to catch on the inside.

Is there a hat to go with them?

Yes: Varma knits the same rose in the same colours on a beanie and a headband, and we sell both. The three together make a set, bought one piece at a time or all at once.

How do I wash them?

By hand in cool water with wool detergent, or on a 30 °C wool programme. Press the water out, pull the fingers back into shape and dry flat. Between washes an airing is usually enough.
