A 4.5 mm crochet hook for the neck edge, dark elastic thread to baste inside the neck, and a little waste yarn for the provisional cast-on.

How it is knitted
Knitted from the shoulders down. The back and the two fronts are knitted flat in stocking stitch with three strands of Plötulopi on 7 mm; the fronts start from a provisional cast-on and widen at the neck edge to shape the V, then are joined, and the body is joined in the round under straight armholes. Lower down, one strand is swapped for a second strand of the darkest colour for a darker hem band, and the body ends in 3 cm of 1×1 rib. The shoulders are grafted. The sleeves are picked up around the armholes and knitted down in the round with two strands on 5.5 mm, decreasing to a 1×1 rib cuff on 4.5 mm. A row of single crochet finishes the neck. In the blue version the first 10 cm of the sleeves use winter blue with arctic blue, then winter blue with navy.
