Védís Jónsdóttir’s yoke sweater from Ístex’s Lopi 29, in the beige colourway: barley Léttlopi with four patterned bands around the body and sleeves and a patterned yoke in murky, chocolate heather, black sheep heather, white and straw, finished with a rolled straw edge at the neck. Each size has a man’s and a woman’s sleeve length.

How it is knitted
Knitted in the round from the bottom up. The body starts with 4 cm of 1×1 rib, then four stranded colour bands from the chart, with plain rounds of the main colour between them. The sleeves carry the same four bands, centred on the sleeve, with the increases worked through the pattern. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, knitted from a 48-round chart with seven decrease rounds. The neck is 4 cm of 1×1 rib, then 6 rounds of stocking stitch in a contrast colour that roll over. The underarm stitches are grafted. In the beige version the neck edge is straw.
