Overview
What's in the kit
Himinn og haf — sky and sea. The pattern describes the arctic sky over the open sea: short moments of light with great impact, one colour combination captured today, different tomorrow. Védís Jónsdóttir’s yoke sweater from Ístex’s Lopi 39 is knitted in Einband — two strands together for the body and yoke, one strand for the sleeves — here in the lilac colourway: lavender, with peach, yellow and blush in the yoke.
Included
- Icelandic Einband wool yarn — yarn for the largest size is included, so every size is covered
- Knitting pattern in English (PDF) — emailed right after purchase
- ADDI knitting needles — only if you choose the kit with needles

How it is knitted
Body and sleeves are knitted in the round from folded hems up to the underarms, then joined, and the yoke is knitted in the round from a chart. The body and yoke use two strands of Einband together — two strands of lavender, then lavender with peach from 3 cm below the underarm — and the sleeves a single strand of lavender until their last 3 cm. In the yoke the strands pair up as lavender with peach, peach with yellow and peach with blush. Hem, cuffs and neckband are folded to the inside along a purl round; the neckband is a single strand of blush.
