Good to know

GSM — your questions, answered

What size are they?
One size, given as a women’s size. The pattern gives no gauge or measurements; the hand is 32 stitches around on 4.5 mm needles.
How does the mitten top work?
It is picked up across the back of the hand, just below the fingers, and knitted up to a point. Pull it over the half-length fingers like a mitten, or fold it back to free them.
The top decreases don’t come out at 7 stitches — what do I do?
Decreasing 4 stitches a round from 32 can’t leave 7. Decrease until 8 stitches are left, then knit 2 together all round and draw the yarn through the last 4.
Who designed them?
The pattern names no designer — it is from Ístex’s Lopi 24.
What does the kit with needles include?
3.5 mm (US 4) and 4.5 mm (US 7) double-pointed needles — ADDI, as named in the pattern.
