Which size should I knit?
There are five sizes, S to 2XL, with a chest of 94, 103, 113, 122 and 129 cm (37 to 50¾″) all round. Compare with a sweater that fits you the way you like.
How does the colour blending work?
You always knit with four strands of Plötulopi. To move from one colour to the next you knit 3 rounds with 3 strands of the old colour and 1 of the new, then 2 and 2, then 1 and 3, and then all four strands of the new colour.
Do I have many ends to weave in?
Hardly any. The pattern asks you to splice the ends at each colour change: thin and overlap about 8 cm of both ends and roll them together between your palms, so the yarn continues without a break.
How is the yoke shaped?
It is a raglan: after body and sleeves are joined, you decrease along the lines between body and sleeves and at the shoulders. Short rows at the back shape the neckline, and a K1 P1 rib finishes the neck.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for M to 2XL: 2 plates each of midnight blue, plum, wine red and dark amber, and 1 each of oatmeal and light blues blue. Size S uses only 1 plate of every colour, so it leaves 4 plates over.
What does the kit with needles include?
10 mm (US 15) and 9 mm (US 13) circular needles, each in 40 and 80 cm, and 9 mm and 10 mm double-pointed needles — ADDI, the sizes the pattern names.
