What's in the kit
Brautir — Lanes: “one by one, joined together, creating unity.” An unusual, graphic Álafosslopi cardigan built from twelve pieces knitted flat in blocks of colour, each edged in seed stitch and then sewn together so the colour lanes run up the body and sleeves. V-neck, hook-and-eye closures at the front. This is the earth-tone colourway: black heather, indigo, highland green, ash, grey, wheat and chocolate. Three roomy sizes; the same amount of yarn is used for every size.

- Flat knitting, no chartsEvery strip is knitted back and forth on one 6 mm needle, following row counts, with a seed-stitch border and a seed-stitch row at each colour change.
- A snood from the leftoversThe pattern also gives a snood, knitted in the round from about 110 g of the colours left over from the cardigan.
