What's in the kit

Size
40 cm long and 72 cm wide (15¾ × 28¼″) after blocking. The scarf stretches when it is washed and blocked.
Gauge
17 sts × 30 rows = 10 cm (4″) in stocking stitch on 4 mm needles, measured after blocking.
Needles used in the pattern (included when you choose the kit with needles)
4 mm (US 6) circular needle, 80 cm (knitted back and forth)
Not included
A 3 mm crochet hook for the chain-loop edging.
How it is knitted
Knitted back and forth from 2 stitches at the point, increasing into a triangle while you work the lace chart. The wrong-side rows are plain — purled, or knitted from left to right if you prefer. It is bound off loosely, the two long edges are finished with crocheted chain loops (7 chains, then a single crochet at every other eyelet), and the scarf is blocked by pinning out every loop.
Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from the Einband series (no. 4), Ístex.
