Sporty outdoor sweater kit with bold Icelandic-style colorwork and a feminine fitted shape.
Sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL; chest measurements 87–133 cm.
The yarn included in the kit is enough to make the largest size of the sweater.
Knitting pins are optional and included only if you choose the ‘With needles’ variant.
Please note! Two versions of the sweater available: Thicker sweater made with double Plötulopi/Álafosslopi and Léttlopi, worked in the round with short rows, intarsia detail and a steeked front collar. Thinner version made with Léttlopi, technique similar to most Icelandic sweaters.

I've never knitted a lopapeysa — can I manage a kit?

Many of our customers knit their first lopapeysa from one of these kits. Choose a one-colour or simple-yoke design to start, and warm up with our free patterns. Stuck mid-project? Write to us — we knit these ourselves.

What exactly is in the box?

The knitting pattern and the genuine Ístex lopi yarn for the design. On most kits you can add needles as an option at no fuss.

Which yarn do the kits use?

Most use Léttlopi — the classic lopapeysa yarn — while some designs call for Álafoss Lopi, Plötulopi or Einband. Each kit page says which.

Do US orders pay customs on delivery?

No — duties and taxes are settled at checkout, so nothing is due when the parcel arrives. No customs bills, no courier fees.
