How it is knitted
Knitted with two strands of Plötulopi held together, in the round from the bottom up, with a purl stitch at each side of the centre front. Body and sleeves start with oatmeal 1×1 rib and a 13-round colourwork band, then are joined for the round yoke, knitted from three charts with white, oatmeal and black heather. The purl stitches up the front are sewn twice by machine and cut open, and a two-way zip is sewn in with matching thread. The men’s version is hip length — 40 to 47 cm to the underarm — in oatmeal, with a 7 cm rib neckband folded double inside to cover the top of the zip.
Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 26 (no. 19), Ístex.
