Questions people ask before they buy

Will it fit me?

One size, for men and women. The knit is elastic and Kidka describes it as one size fits most. In our photo it sits just above the eyebrows with the sheep running round the forehead.

What does “Kind” mean?

Kind is simply the Icelandic word for a sheep, and it is the name Kidka gives this pattern. The hat is knitted from Icelandic sheep's wool, so the sheep on it are wearing their own fleece.

Is there a lining?

A cotton band inside the brim, the part that rests on your forehead and ears. Above that it is brushed wool only, which keeps the hat light and breathable rather than hot.

How does it feel to wear?

The brushed surface is soft and a little fluffy, and the Icelandic wool under it is light and springy, so the hat is warm without feeling heavy. It is the kind you can keep on in a warm shop without overheating.

Is it also in other colours?

Kidka knits the same sheep on a moss-green hat too; the last photo shows it. The grey is the quieter of the two and goes with most coats.
