Description

Viktor — a remake of the sweater Leifur, which was itself based on a popular fisherman’s sweater named Viktoria. A one-colour Léttlopi pullover in deep ocean blue with a textured double-moss-stitch yoke instead of colourwork, twisted-rib edges and a collar tipped in apricot. Body and sleeves are knitted in the round to the underarms, then the front and back are worked flat in double moss stitch and the sleeves sewn in — a sturdy, classic men’s sweater with a good long size range (XS–3XL).

Many of our customers knit their first lopapeysa from one of these kits. Choose a one-colour or simple-yoke design to start, and warm up with our free patterns. Stuck mid-project? Write to us — we knit these ourselves.

What exactly is in the box?

The knitting pattern and the genuine Ístex lopi yarn for the design. On most kits you can add needles as an option at no fuss.

Which yarn do the kits use?

Most use Léttlopi — the classic lopapeysa yarn — while some designs call for Álafoss Lopi, Plötulopi or Einband. Each kit page says which.

Do US orders pay customs on delivery?

No — duties and taxes are settled at checkout, so nothing is due when the parcel arrives. No customs bills, no courier fees.
