My knitting kit arrived so quickly. This is my second knitting kit. I made a beautiful jumper and now I’m looking forward to start knitting this cardigan (for next winter). The wool is beautiful to knit with, the instructions are clear and the colours are beautiful.

Ordering was very easy and efficient and my knitting kit arrived very quickly and was well worth going for the DHL Express delivery especially as Royal Mail in the UK is having problems at the moment. I appreciated being kept up to date as to what stage my parcel was in the journey. As I had just returned from a short trip to Iceland it was so nice to have a parcel to remind me of my visit. The wool is gorgeous and I’m glad I asked for the needles as well as there are quite a few different sizes required. One suggestion is that you could show some different colourways for the pattern on the website to show what can be done (as in the accompanying printed pattern) as it is difficult to try and work out possible alternative colours to order online. I’m looking forward to learning how to ‘steek’! Thanks for the chocolate; a lovely surprise - I’m going to need it to help me work it out😊

I've never knitted a lopapeysa — can I manage a kit?

Many of our customers knit their first lopapeysa from one of these kits. Choose a one-colour or simple-yoke design to start, and warm up with our free patterns. Stuck mid-project? Write to us — we knit these ourselves.

What exactly is in the box?

The knitting pattern and the genuine Ístex lopi yarn for the design. On most kits you can add needles as an option at no fuss.

Which yarn do the kits use?

Most use Léttlopi — the classic lopapeysa yarn — while some designs call for Álafoss Lopi, Plötulopi or Einband. Each kit page says which.

Do US orders pay customs on delivery?

No — duties and taxes are settled at checkout, so nothing is due when the parcel arrives. No customs bills, no courier fees.
