Which size do I pick?

The sizes are European shoe sizes. Take the band your usual EU size falls in: a 38 takes 36–39, a 42 takes 40–43, a 45 takes 44–47. The knit has some give, so a size at the top of a band is fine.

How do they feel?

Dense and cushioned underfoot, noticeably thicker than an ordinary sock, with a ribbed leg that stays put. Icelandic wool has a bit of spring to it and does not go limp when it warms up. One reviewer calls them warm and comfortable even in California.

What do people wear them with?

Hiking boots and rubber boots, inside slippers, and on their own on a cold floor. One reviewer bought her first pair in Iceland as a souvenir and then ordered more for her husband, who she says is now a convert.

Can they go in the washing machine?
