Lakkrís is Iceland's national sweet habit. Icelanders took the Nordic liquorice tradition and made it gentler and sweeter, then started mixing it with everything from chocolate to marzipan; this bag is the plain original, in all its old-fashioned glory. Made by Freyja in Reykjavík, sweets since 1918, following the old recipes.
